Seeking representation

Sat Jul 11, 2009, 3:07 AM
Hi everyone! :)

This is my first journal....EVER! So...forgive me if I mess this up...because i honestly have NO idea what i´m doing right now. :p

Anyway....bla bla bla....

Pretty soon i will start cluttering the galleries again with a bunch of different images....models, landscapes, macros and of my son Liam.

But i´d like to start off with a different genre of photography:

[link]

The other day i ordered 3 large prints of different highspeed-photos (see link above) that i had framed and hung on my wall. That´s actually the only photos of mine that has found their way onto my walls....and the more i look at them, the more i realise just how commercial these kind of images SHOULD be. They´re soothing, fascinating and also quite beautiful if i may say so myself. :) Unfortunatly neither of my publishers seem to share my love for them...they´re more interested in traditional landscape-photography it seems. :) Soooo....now i´m asking you:

Do any of you know of a publisher/agency that would be interested in images such as these? :) I´ve even considered maybe putting together a book....perhaps with some tutorials on how to capture them....something that there seem to be a demand for considering just how many emails i get every week from people all over the world asking me questions on how to go about executing highspeed photography. :)Or perhaps i´m just being stupid...and there really is no market for this. What do you think? :stupidme:

So...unless you infact do think i´m totally offside....point me in the right direction anyone? :)

All that aside i would also like to take this opportunity to THANK ALL OF YOU that´s been so mighty encouraging of me and my work. I´m humbled beyond words sometimes when i read your sweet comments. I only wish i could put more time into browsing the galleries myself...but when i´m not working on images i prefer to spend my time with my son Liam as i´m sure you can understand. :)

Well i probably shouldn´t be rambling on more than this......i better just hush and get to uploading those images i talked about earlier. ;)

Take care and thanks once again!

/ Andreas :)

Photography is our view of your world. The beauty you see on this planet, we see through your eyes. Keep the window open, and thanks for inviting us in. :D

You probably hear that you're a lot of people's idol in the photography world.
Well you're also mine.

You probably hear that your photography is amazing and jaw-dropping all the time.
I agree.

But I speak for myself when I say that as a young person going into photography, that I whole-heartedly look forward to all of your work, I follow you on your website through newsletters and now watch you on here - I'm learning from your interesting yet beautiful ways of photography.

I just wanted to tell you that I really look up to you, and I admire all your work.

Thank you for doing what you're really good at.

Wow! Amanda!!! :D I guess you´re right...i do hear more and more how people find my work "appealing" and such...even if i rarely agree myself since i´m seldom all that pleased with my stuff. ;) But never have i gotten a sweeter note than the one i just got from you. Thank you oh so much. :) I´m truly flattered...you just made my day. ;) Take care of yourself and good luck with everything! You have indeed great potential and i´m sure you will do just great. :)

Thank you. :-) You know what...that would be so cool! :-) I´m actually getting my first tattoos done in april next year after we´ve had our second child. :-) Perhaps you could then assist me in designing a unique tattoo for me in return for me allowing you to use some of my images as reference? Just let me know which ones you´d be interested in....safest way to keep in touch with me is via my email: andreas.stridsberg@telia.com
